Fall 2009 Events
Endless Feast
In October, Viking Range helped PBS produce an episode of its program, "Endless Feast.” Since the program features sustainable agriculture on every episode, TCI stepped up to provide U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish product for their use – which was the focus of the program. It was filmed outdoors at Dockery Plantation (just outside of Cleveland, Miss.) Sunday, October 18th, and will run on PBS next spring.
Southern Foodways Alliance
TCI will be attending The Southern Foodways Alliance (SFA), October 30–November 1, in Oxford, Miss. SFA is an excellent avenue for interacting with news media and food writers – and introducing them to the virtues of U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish. More than 800 culinary writers, researchers, chefs and other food lovers attend each SFA event.
Worlds of Flavor
TCI will be promoting U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish November 12-14 at the upcoming 12th annual Worlds of Flavor International Conference and Festival at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, Calif. Chef Cat Cora will be representing TCI and serving delicious catfish recipes at this three-day forum on world cuisines. More than 800 chefs, foodservice professionals and other culinary influencers will be in attendance, and have the opportunity to learn more about American catfish.
