Grilling up success: TCI and Tabasco
JACKSON, Miss. The Catfish Institute (TCI) and Tabasco brand teamed up recently in a national satellite media tour with “Mastering the Grill” cookbook authors Andrew Schloss and Dave Joachim. The multiple broadcasts will reach a national audience of approximately 10 millions Americans.
Joachim, editor and author of numerous cookbooks, has made regular appearances on such national outlets as the Discovery Channel, Food Network, QVC and National Public Radio. Fellow “Master of the Grill” Andrew Schloss is the author of seven cookbooks and former president of the International Association of Culinary Professionals. He has also written about food for such noteworthy publications as The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Washington Post and Food and Wine Magazine.
We know that there are problems associated with foreign imports, and we know that U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always readily available, always fresh and always safe. |
The tour involved a series of preset interviews, transmitted through satellite, between Schloss and Joachim and TV and radio station anchors around the nation. The two chefs grilled a recipe for Grilled Chipotle Catfish with Pineapple Mint Salsa while discussing the many reasons why they use only U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish, such as its consistent quality, safety and freshness.
In the interviews, the chefs also noted one key advantage of U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish.
“We know that there are problems associated with foreign imports, and we know that U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish is always readily available, always fresh and always safe. We only choose U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish when we buy catfish.”
The “Mastering the Grill” interviews were conducted in New York City and broadcast to top and second tier media markets located across the country.
Consumers can purchase U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish in grocery stores for their own grilling purposes. To ensure the purchase of only U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish, consumers should look for catfish labeled “U.S. Farm-Raised.”
